Here you’ll find the terms and information that apply to your order. Of course, we always comply with Swedish legislation, and we recommend that you read the terms carefully before completing your purchase.

1. Shipping and delivery
1.1 - Shipping costs
The shipping cost, which also includes packaging and handling, is calculated automatically based on weight, volume, and delivery address. It is always displayed before you complete your purchase.
1.2 Delivery time
We usually process and ship incoming orders within two business days, which is our goal. Delivery time thereafter varies depending on the shipping method selected. When you choose a shipping option at checkout, you will see the estimated delivery time for each available option. In cases such as illness or other unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to extend the delivery time by up to an additional three business days.
Larger deviations in delivery time may occur, for example during holiday periods. In such situations, we always provide clear information on our website and through our other channels.
1.3 Shipping method and tracking
We use PostNord, Schenker, DHL, and UPS to ship our orders. At checkout, you can choose the option you prefer. Available carriers depend on the size and weight of your order, as well as the delivery destination. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a delivery confirmation by email. If you selected a trackable shipping option, a tracking number will also be included in the email.
We also offer free local pickup in Linköping (Ryd). Please contact us before placing your order to schedule a pickup time and receive further information.
1.3.1 Non-trackable delivery
If you choose a non-trackable shipping option, the order cannot be tracked during transit. This means we have limited ability to locate the shipment in the event of a delay. As a result, it may take additional time before we can determine that the delivery has been lost and take appropriate action, should that be the case.
1.4 Inventory
We continuously update our stock levels, but errors may sometimes occur. If we are unable to deliver the item you ordered, we will of course issue a full refund. If the item is expected back in stock within a reasonable time, we will contact you so you can choose whether to wait or cancel your order.
1.5 International orders
We ship to all countries worldwide where postal services allow deliveries. Swedish law applies. Please note that customers outside the EU may be charged customs duties and VAT.
2. Payment options
You will always see the total amount, including shipping costs, before completing your purchase. We offer the following payment options:
2.1 Credit/Debit Card
Pay easily with your credit or debit card by entering your details at checkout to complete your purchase. Petror.se does not have access to the information you provide, and the payment is fully handled by Stripe, a payment service that enables businesses to accept online payments.
2.2 Swish (only for swedes)
Swish is a fast and easy way to pay via your mobile phone. Select 'Manual Payment' at checkout and follow the instructions to enter the correct recipient and amount. If you send a payment to the wrong number, unfortunately we cannot assist you. If the wrong amount is sent, we will contact you for the correct payment. If the correct amount is not received, the order will be cancelled and the payment refunded.
2.3 Google and Apple Pay
If you use any of these services, you can select it at the top of the checkout under 'Express Payment.' You probably won’t even need to enter your delivery details, as they are saved in your Google or Apple account.
2.4 Invoice
If you wish to make a purchase on behalf of a company, association, or public sector organization, paying by invoice works perfectly. Please contact us beforehand for further instructions. Invoicing is handled through PayPal’s invoicing service.
3. Returns
3.1 Return
As a consumer, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal, starting from the day you receive the item. If you wish to cancel your purchase, you must contact us within these 14 days. The item must be returned in the same condition as when you received it. You, as the customer, are responsible for the return shipping costs and for ensuring that the item is properly packaged, sent to the correct address, and arrives safely. The right of withdrawal does not apply to gift cards, used items, clearance sales, or in the event of the store closing down. Once the return has been approved, the price of the item (excluding shipping costs) will be refunded within 14 days using the same payment method as the original purchase, unless otherwise agreed.
3.2 Complaint
If an item is defective or damaged, you have the right to file a complaint. Please contact us and we will find a solution, such as repair, replacement, or a price reduction. The complaint must be approved by us before the item is returned. If the item is not deemed defective, the complaint may be rejected in accordance with applicable legislation. We always follow the guidelines of the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN). In the case of a refund, it will be processed within 14 days using the same payment method as the original purchase, unless otherwise agreed.
3.3 Cancellation of an order
You have the right to cancel your order before it has been shipped. Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to do so. If the order has already been dispatched, the return policy applies (see section 3.1).
4. Personal Data & Privacy
When you contact us or make a purchase, your personal data is stored to the extent necessary for us to process your order, send confirmations, deliver goods, and contact you when needed. Your data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation (GDPR) and is only shared with third parties that are necessary to fulfill the agreement, such as payment providers, shipping companies, and technical service providers. We never sell or forward your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes. You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.

5. Other
5.1 Unclaimed packages
If you do not collect your package or refuse to accept it, it will be returned to us. You will then be charged for the return shipping as well as an administration fee of 150 SEK. The remaining amount will be refunded within 14 days via the same payment method used for the purchase.
5.2 Prices and VAT
All prices are subject to change in the event of final clearance sales, price increases, or currency fluctuations. Any discounts will always display the original price. Firma Melker Nordström is not VAT registered, and therefore no VAT is added to the prices. If you are purchasing from outside the EU, customs duties and VAT may apply.
5.3 Gift cards/discount codes
Gift cards and discount codes are valid until the store is potentially closed. If the store is planned to close, we will provide advance notice on the website. Discount codes cannot be combined, and the right of withdrawal does not apply to gift cards.
5.4 Limitation of Liability and force majeure
We are not responsible for any damages that may occur from the use of our products. We are also not responsible for delays or errors beyond our control, such as fires, strikes, pandemics, or issues with the carrier.
5.5 Customer responsibility
As a customer, you are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide when placing an order is correct, including your delivery address and contact details, and that you are authorized to use the selected payment method. You are also responsible for following our instructions regarding payment, returns, and complaints. We are not responsible for issues that arise as a result of incorrect information provided or failure to comply with the above obligations.
5.6 Minors
To place an order with us, you must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity, or have the consent of a parent/guardian to complete the order.
5.7 Product information
Product images may differ slightly from reality regarding small details that do not affect the functionality of the item. Product names are not always literal – for example, 'Magnetic Jar' does not mean that the entire jar is magnetic, but that it has a magnet attached.
5.8 Changes of terms
We reserve the right to update or change the information and terms on this page at any time. These changes take effect immediately. The terms in effect at the time you place your order will apply to your case. We recommend that you review our terms each time you plan to make a purchase.
